Required Fields in Activities

OIPA identifies fields on screens and in activities that must be completed by the user before the screen can be saved or the activity can be processed. Required fields are identified by an asterisk next to the field display name.

If a user fails to enter information in a required field, an error message will display and the user cannot advance until the information is entered.

Security Considerations

In some cases a user may not have the security privileges required to access a required field. If a required field is grayed out and information cannot be entered in the field, then the user does not have the appropriate security privileges to enter the information. The user should contact a supervisor for assistance.
